Happy week 2 of ORC friends. I know I am a day late. I slept like a baby though and so I am not even mad a little bit.
On to the good stuff I am sharing a video I shot last week of my bedroom over on my IG page. So after catching up here go have a look. After shooting that video last week I did a mock up of the wall moulding. Guess what it gave me a little bit of the not so good feels. Let me show you why.
Can you see up in the corner where the tres ceiling and moulding (blue tape) meets. That is so busy to me. I left the tape up for a week b/c I needed to be able to walk in and out of the space and get a true feel for it. Let’s just say it was to much for me. I have seen this in other homes, where the homeowner adds a detail later after the home is built and it clashes a little. For me when I take into consideration the main height of the wall is 8ft. before it goes up to 9.5 ft I am certain I do not want to go this route. Ha! Sometimes you have to stop and take in all the things that will come into play. Although the walls and trim were going to be painted the same color it did not feel natural to me and so we move on. I have been a busy bee though. I have ordered all the decor items. DONE! I think I figured out the nightstand dilemma more on that next week. I honestly could not figure out what I wanted. All the art and frames are here and ready to shine. I’m waiting on the lighting, but I have the specs so I am able to get the electrical done for that.
This is a pretty lame update. But we had a water leak that got out of control this week and hence the reason I needed a nap yesterday and I am just now getting a update to you guys.
Next week the room should be painted and I can’t wait to show you that and the wallpaper I chose. I can tell you my paint color is Sherwin Williams Paper Lantern at 75% on the walls and 100% on the ceiling. I am so so happy with the color it’s a soft butter tone which will allow my room to glow in the evenings. My space is pretty monochromatic allowing my bed and wallpaper to tell the story. Let’s meet again next Thursday and oooh and awe over the wallpaper and my nightstands. You guys I just keep looking at my Gracie Wallpaper and I love it.
