Welcome my friends. Hope your week has been a good one. Honestly we need a vacation if I’m keeping it real. After the ORC I am taking my kid somewhere to relax by a beach. Today I thought I would share Art and how I go about adding pieces that catch my eye. To start I want to say art can be out right expensive. And that is okay. I say mix and match in your home. For instance in my ORC space I only have 1 original art and about 6 prints. There is no shame in my game. Prints allowed me to get art from artist that I admire and still stay within my decor budget.

I am a huge fan of custom frames. Whether you go to a custom framer or order frames from Ebay and Etsy as I often do. Frames can change the entire feel of the art. A good frame elevates a print. If I am ordering a oversized print I prefer to order it framed. That way I am not lugging around a huge piece and often times if you have it framed from the supplier it is less expensive. Take for instance the photo above I ordered that print in a 40×30 with mat and frame for less than $200 with shipping. It saved me time and I was able to quickly find a modern piece to keep my granny dreams fresh and not dated.

My space will have florals and more modern art but I want to keep it a secret for now and I promise to share the sources when I share my room. Here are a two stores that have great art and posters if you are on the hunt also.

Make sure you checkout all the action over on the ORC blog.
